2017 Chardonnay

$55.00

“Our neutral-oaked estate grown Chehalem Mountains AVA Chardonnay is spring straw in color and incredibly delicate on the nose, opening with hints of quince and under-ripe pear. The vibrant and crisp palate unfolds through notes of Meyer lemon and ripe tropical fruit, finishing with persistent acidity that carries each sip to a lengthy finish.” — David de Lancellotti, Formaglini Vineyards WineGrower

The 2017 vintage is classically Oregon in style. Winter was cold and a cooler than normal spring, ideal weather after flowering created a healthy fruit set. Summer was dry and hot, but vines saw little drought stress. By September, everything was on track for a traditional, “normal” Oregon harvest in the Willamette Valley.  Harvest produced a bumper crop with intense flavor, and perfect sugar and acid levels.  — David de Lancellotti, Formaglini Vineyards WineGrower
