2017 Insieme Cuvee

$50.00

Said of recent Insieme pours, “Beautiful nose –roses, cherries, spice and chocolate. Very delicate on the palate but the fruit and spice carry through. Tannins are evident on the medium finish. Tending towards Burgundian, in style.”

Description

David de Lancellotti’s passion for Italian experiences led him to plant the cult Italian grape Lagrein, creating this unheralded red wine blend showcasing the Chehalem Mountains terroir in an Old World wine style. 75% Pinot Noir, 25% Lagrein.  All prior Insieme vintages have sold out.

Of the 2017 Oregon vintage:

  • “The wet, cool spring delayed flowering for the region’s vines until late June, setting the stage for a later harvest. Hot, dry conditions prevailed through the summer. Fruit set was higher than average. ‘There is a fresh fruit component and complexity that comes out in the wines.'”
  • “Willamette Valley Reports Pure Pinots”
